Kate said TIRED.
Funny, just the word makes me tired and I woke up this morning at 5 a.m. to howling wind and my first thought was…
I’m tired and want to go back to sleep.
I laid there and thought about this word and couldn’t think of anything positive to say.
Because I thought of my friends who are tired.
Tara is tired because she continues to lose people dear to her.
Tammy is tired because she is day-in and day-out with a debilitating condition.
My friend HM is tired because of side-effects of Celiac’s disease.
My grandson is tired because he didn’t get home until midnight from an out of town baseball game.
My granddaughter is tired because her to-do list at college is an arm’s length long.
My sister is tired because she just wrenched her back.
I’m tired because I don’t want to live here anymore – I’m ready for a change of scenery, for a smaller life-style.
See? Seems all the tired’s are negative.
Perhaps we should do a word jumble and see what’s inside the letters t-i-r-e-d.
RITED (it’s a stretch!)
On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread and gave thanks to God for it…1 Corinthians 11.23-24
Jesus was tired, tried, and then He “rited” all things to Himself.
There is Hope because we have a resurrected Savior. May we be refreshed in that Truth.
