Kate said, “Release.”
I followed my normal FMF routine but this word didn’t have the power of resonating with me. I have released a lot of things over the years.
- An unfaithful husband
- Children, as they fledged the nest
- Control over circumstances I had no control over (anyway)
- An addiction or two
- A job I loved
- The what if’s
This morning I Google’d: “things to be released.” Here are the results:
- Opinions of Others
- The Victim
- The Reason Why
These are from the secular point of view but don’t most of them align beautifully with what The Word teaches? I’m going to do more thinking on these – more than five minutes worth…perhaps a forthcoming Wednesday post.
Today, I’m going to release this post into the FMF blogosphere and it will be fun to watch where it lands. In the meantime, be honest, how many thought of THIS song when Kate said, “RELEASE.”
