We’re all recovering from something. Amen?
Some days I feel like I’m still recovering from two big moves in two years. One from our home of 30 years in 2018 into a flat and then from the flat to a tiny house of 399 square feet in early 2020. Long recovery time because these moves were HUGE.
This word could be used in so many ways today. We are recovering from a worldwide pandemic. We are recovering (or are we?) from a volatile, dishonest election. America itself is in a recovery mode – but one only fully recovers when truth is applied.
Drug addicts. Alcoholics. Abused people. Grief.
All of these require recovery – and it’s not an easy road.
Or, Rescuer…I like to think of Jesus as my Rescuer. He found me in some bad mire and picked me up and led me on a journey of recovery. He never let me go it alone – He stayed with me and stays with me even now.

I think I’m fully recovered but the process is long and stings at times but if one stays the course the day of recovery does come and it’s glorious.
