I watched a really good movie last night on the iPad and I missed the Twitter FMF Party. I crawled into bed at 9:42 p.m. and checked the Twitter feed and host Kate was no where to be found but I scrolled the thread and saw this:
I have concluded that five minute Friday really means 420 Minute Friday for me. Last night I saw the word and dozed off thinking…I woke up three times to go to the restroom and I was still thinking…then at 4:45 a.m. – 420 minutes after Kate said PURPOSE, I had my post.
Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself…Daniel 1.8
God had a plan for Daniel and God gave him the determination, the fortitude, the resolve to carry it out.
Every one of us has a purpose. A God-ordained plan.
That does not mean every one of us will be obedient to purposing in our heart to see it through.
There will be…
This purposing thing is huge. The Lord told me ONE thing He wanted me to do during this season of Lent. ONE. The very first day? I blew it. I didn’t do it.
Is there grace? Of course.
Did I purpose in my heart to obey God’s simple little request?
I have now.
Have you ever purposed in your heart to do or be something or someone?
Daniel did and it changed the course of history.
PostScript: Even after 420 minutes of pondering and thinking? As my fingers flew over the keyboard? God changed it up, just like that! He always has a plan and a PURPOSE!
Today is the third day of Lent 2017 – need some encouragement? Some motivation? It’s never too late to purpose in your heart to make this Lenten Season a holy undertaking!
