Kate said…Provide.
00:00
This is an easy word to write about. Just don’t think five minutes will give it justice. At least as it applies to my life.
Provided for? Oh yes.
Iffy times? Oh yes.
More than I can count on twenty fingers and toes!
But God.
Jehovah Jirah comes through every single time.
I just completed a little 31 Days devotional on Matthew 6. It is the middle chapter of Jesus’ sermon on the mount. Matthew chapters 5,6,7, contain gold. Pure gold in words of red.
Matthew 6.26 states, Consider the birds of the air – they do nothing but look pretty and fly – and your Heavenly Father feeds them.
Every day, God shows up in the life of a bird and provides food, shelter, a mate, and a place to perch.
Are we not of more value than they?
The answer to that question? Yes, we are.
Spread your wings.
Live life like there’s no tomorrow.
And don’t get your undies in a knot over stupid stuff.
xo
Yeah….Not getting worked up over little stuff….it’s important. Seeing God’s care for us….extremely important.
Annette, He really does care for us well.
Susan, it is so true. We so easily forget His provision and yet, He has not ever failed us. May He grow us so that we trust Him and do not doubt. Not even for a second.
Not even for a second!
Thanks for the reminder not to stress over the little stuff. Tomorrow will bring trouble of it’s own. Blind faith, blind trust and He will provide in all.
Sufficient for the day. Amen. xo
It’s far too easy to worry over the little things! The birds are a great reminder of how God knows our needs and provides for us!
And, how much more does He care for us.
Amen!
God DOES always provide, even when it looks dif than we imagined! (wink of course)
And in the hard, he provides himself always.
All ways and Always!
LOVE this, Susan, from the heading picture to the last hilarious sentence.
And, AMEN!
I wrote THAT just for you Andrew. 😉
Awww, Susan, you made me giggle a little with that last line. 🙂
It’s too easy for me to worry and fret and get all knotted up inside. But you’re right. God sees us. He loves us. And He provides for us all that we need. I’m so thankful for that truth and for you, my friend!
Hope it wasn’t too crude. Andrew liked it!!! xo
Oh friend, that last line! God provides like God always does! 🙂
Crude? I’m sorry if I offended. That expression has been used by me for years.
Not crude at all.
Good!
