Kate said prayer
I learned a very long time ago that God made me exactly the way I am. Ants in pants, and all! So, to sit for hours and pray and/or intercede on behalf of someone/something is not easy for me.
BUT, I pray all day long. There are nights, I pray all night long. I know the difference between insomnia and the call to pray.
When Jesus Prayed
He talked to His Father. I don’t think He spoke in King James language either. He just talked reg’ler.
O Father they are like a brood of vipers – they are full of evil and cannot speak good things. From Matthew 12
I pray like that – David prayed like that. He went so far as to say, “Destroy my enemies!”
I Pray All Day
I pray sentence prayers. One word prayers. A few moans. A few groans. But, I never say AMEN. Because it is one long concert of prayer.
I love those who can get on the floor and pray for hours – not rising until they sense a breakthrough in their spirit – but I am not one of them. My sister is a pray-er. Our mother was a pray-er.
We all pray differently – but not wrongly. Always pray in Jesus’ Name because HIS NAME gets the Father’s attention immediately!
I’d love to hear how YOU pray –
I try to pray without ceasing. If someone or something comes to mind, then I pray for God to do his work in his way for his glory and for our good. It seems there are many opportunities to be thankful in prayer. If we aren’t thankful, we must be living with our eyes closed.
AMEN, WAYNE, AMEN. I live grateful!
For all that which I receive
I thank, layer on layer,
and thus every time I breathe
it’s something of a prayer
sent in quiet certainty
that God above will hear,
send echoes of eternity
to me, to make it clear
that how hard it may still get
with pain in every bone,
He will never ever let
me feel lost and alone,
’cause the ‘lonely’ bill was paid for me
by Jesus at Gethsemane.
The lonely bill…. #REDEEMED!
Thank you for your faithfulness to pray, Susan, “I pray all day long. There are nights, I pray all night long. I know the difference between insomnia and the call to prayer.”
Amen!
Maybe the root of the problem is a heart that unanswered prayers have crushed. The answer is a profound surrender of the heart in the Lord who saves. Trusting is the key.
Trusting is the key.
We all prayer differently not wrongly. Love this so many need to hear this. God bless. Visiting from fmf x
That is exactly right, Loretta!!!
Organization is one of my love languages…apparently. I (over) organize everything…and so love to pray organized. Probably does not work for everyone – and even I am trying to be more spontaneous..but, as you said, we are what we are:)
God loves us as we are – not the way we think we should be. – Brennan Manning
Amen Susan, so beautifully spoken. I have running dialogue with Jesus throughout my day.

Yup! Never say amen…..
Love this, Susan. Thanks for sharing.
Most of my praying is an ongoing dialogue all day long.
As grandmothers – that is gospel truth.
