Five Minute Friday: PRAISE

October 12, 2018 by admin 35 Comments

Five Minute Friday PRAISE!

Kate said, “PRAISE!”

Kudos to Kate for her awesome graphics and today’s? Psalm 91? My favorite! Good work, Kate Motaung!

But saying it isn’t enough – is it? I don’t know about you, but I am a PRAISEr – a big time, holy-roller, Pentecostal praise the Lord kind of woman. There’s nothing shy or introverted about me when it comes to a good praise and worship session. My eyes are closed. My head is tilted heavenward. My arms are lifted as high as they will go and sometimes so wide my hubs has to gently push it back into my own space!

PRAISE!

O! He is worthy of our praise and adoration.

Praise has razed cities. Joshua 6.1-27

Praise has won battles. 2 Chronicles 20.20-23

God is so audacious that He even says,

Everything that has breath? PRAISE THE LORD! [Psalm 150]

So, here’s the question we ask ourselves today…

Are you breathing? Then, you better be praising!

@fiveminutefriday #PRAISE #bgbg2 Are you breathing? Then you best be praising!

Ah, yes! You and I… it sounds like we even praise and worship the same way! (We’d need a seat between us -but just for worship time!) 😉 xoxo

Yes – I went with >> “Let all that I am praise the Lord, with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.” (Psalm 103: 1-2, NLT)

So many praise verses came to mind when I read the prompt. May we have a praise-filled Friday!

Beautiful words and practice to start the day. I’m praising all of our family is safe though they’ve suffered extensive damage to their home and vehicles. (They live in Panama City). We are grateful.

I understand, Deb. The real key is sacrificial praise – the what if praise. Blessings for “Joel” restoration.

I totally love this! I’m more the reserved praiser with a gentle sway back and forth and the occasional hands up. But I absolutely love this and I’m sure I’ll think of it Sunday morning when I’m praising and just might let loose and try it Susan’s way! After all I am breathing!

Tried a different church Sunday — no praise in that one! How do people stay still and quiet when the Lord is in the house…or maybe He wasn’t in the house!
Back to my praising church next week!

Instagram post 2193140229115194451_3521265556 Kate said RUSH

Rushing is the one thing I did not want to do in this tiny house move. Rushing only brings negative results, in my humble opinion. I’ve also learned that rushing can be miles outside God’s good, acceptable, and perfect plan for our life.

Slow and steady wins the race – unless you’re an Olympic runner. And, most of us aren’t.

Is God into rushing?

I think not. I mean, after all, He is God and outside of time – He is behind the scenes YET, is the Center of it.

He is orchestrating every finite detail of my life, without rush. On the days I cry out to Him, “Com’on already Lord just do it!” He takes the slow and steady.

And then suddenly!

The day is here. The thing has happened. The life was changed. With no rush.

Days, months, maybe years of praying and believing – and then bam, it’s here.

Enjoy the process…

I want to take the time to enjoy the process. The thinking. The planning. The working. And, then sit back and enjoy the results. That’s how I work and at times I think that’s how our good, good Father works.

I want to enjoy the journey. I want to enjoy the hunt!

How about you? Turtle or rabbit?
