Kate said Practice
I love when I get to share about my most favorite school teacher of all time…
Mrs. Mayfield, Highland Elementary School Fourth Grade, Lake Worth Florida.
She was a clever, creative, kind, and perky lady. And, I was her favorite. Or, at least one of them!!!
Practice does not make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.
She loved quotes
It was one of many quotes she used. Now before we get all uppity and hung up on the whole “perfect” thing, think about it.
If we practice something over and over again, say the scale on a piano, and we do it incorrectly – it wouldn’t matter how many times we practiced it would still be imperfect.
So, when I do something new, or not, I am practicing – so why not do it as perfectly as I am able? Makes sense to me.
All of life is one big practice – I am trying to do it well and one day I will enter heaven and I will hear the Father say…
Susan, come on in, you have practiced well – enter into My perfection!
