Kate said observant.
Tough one Kate.
Are you observant?
Am I?
I used to be
More observant than I am now. I like details. And, I used to think I’d make a good detective but as of late, I’m not as observant as I used to be.
I am observant
To many things. Like the water my husband sprays all over the kitchen when he washes his hands. Or, a picture that has gotten crooked on the wall. I see dirt on the floor. I can tell if someone has been rummaging around my desk area. These are things I readily see.
The Bible says
We should be able to observe [discern] the signs of the times. As a believer and follower of Christ I know that He is going to return to this old earth and set things right. So, I keep an observant eye on current events, Israel, and the Church. And, what I am observing? He could be showing up in the near future.
Let’s be observant and busy about redeeming the time that we have. Those are two things I am committed to.
Steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15.58
Jesus did say it will be a surprise when he comes back. Could be today I most definitely need to be more observant of the times. Your fmf neighbour #13
Amen, sister. Can’t wait! I’ll be catching up on my reading. Traveling right now.
Jesus will be coming soon,
and when He appears,
I’ll have dusted living room
and lay us in some beers
for He will be one tired pup
from winnowing the Earth,
and the chance to put feet up
with a Bud might just be worth
its weight in gold to the Son
(a good time will be had!)
and He may decide to summon
the Spook and yeah, His Dad,
and underneath the ceiling fans
we’ll build a wall of empty cans.
I believe He may want some new wine in a new wineskin.
I like to think I’m observant as well, but I’m not sure I’m focusing on the proper things
Let’s hold one another accountable.
Susan, I agree. I am observant about these things also. And, I believe he could show up in the very near future a well. I can’t wait. ❤
Visiting today from FMF#6
Not soon enough, Paula.
So many are talking about the end days and clearly there are “big” signs that remind us He is coming soon….but I love looking for the little signs, as well. Signs that remind me of His soon return, of the grand reunion there will be and, as well, remind me He is still in control and always watching over me!
I think there are more “little” signs that are staring us right in the face.
Amen. We need to be ready at all times. And that means being observant about the ways we love (or if we’re failing to love). I often fail to love.
Preach.
Susan, I had to laugh when I read the paragraph where you said you were “observant”, to your husband spraying water all over the kitchen, the picture on the wall that is crooked…oh boy, that’s me all over. But the thing is, am I observant to the things that count? Loved this post, thank you!!
I mean, right?
HE is coming for a church without spot or wrinkle! Does it exist today? Something to give deep thought to. Observant? I need to work on that one but I know I AM “somewhat”. Thanks as always, Susan.
