It’s been a while since participating in a five minute Friday challenge – and I almost didn’t but when I saw the word Kate Motaung announced – well, I had to. I had just come home from a funeral service of our neighbor down the road, Granny Betty ended her earth journey this past Monday. She was our friend and the Mom of our (only) next door neighbor. Betty loved well. Her earth journey was not without challenges and heartaches – but, the good news is she knew Jesus and today rests in His presence. This isn’t my post – so let’s move on. Kate said…
I like the word journey.
We’re all on one – one way or the other…
I just finished a journey through the Gospel of John where I read and wrote about 31 profiles of Christ. Jesus’ journey seemed to end on a cross beam on a hill called Golgotha. BUT! He was resurrected so WE could live our earth journey IN HIM – when we make Him the Lord of our life. Want to read more? Click here.
My friend Tammy Mashburn just took us through a journey in the book of Acts. Where Dr. Luke wrote all about the Apostle Paul’s journeys – Rome, Cyprus, Greece, shipwrecks, snakes – what a journey she shared with us. Read it here.
A long time ago in a land not so far away my three kids and I would drive along A1A in the Palm Beaches, in my yellow Toyota Celica WITH SUNROOF! And, we’d blast JOURNEY from the cd player and jam. Oh such fun that was.
My hubs and I want to take a journey across the USA in a camper when we both finally retire – oh how I pray the Lord will grant that to us.
Journey – we’re all one – one way or the other…
How are you spending yours?
