A habit seems to be forming! No Five Minute Friday party and up early on Friday morning to take the challenge. One word. Five minutes. Kate Motaung said…

What inspires me? This calls for a list.
My daughter’s ability to allow criticism and negativity to roll off her spirit and to choose joy in the hard places.
Hannah who perseveres in things very difficult for her – things that do not come naturally and her tenacity to get through.
Simon, who will come in to my room at night just to see if I’m alright and to say good-night, Mimz.
Tammy, who does not allow her wilderness of chronic pain to stop her from doing what the Lord has called her to do.
Julie, who rides her bike in the heat and the rain, across America’s heartland for ChildVoice International.
Anita, who runs heinous amounts of miles for charity; is not afraid to venture out alone; who drives herself and big red from Alaska to Arizona.
Andrew, who wills himself through every single day under great duress and illness to do the next thing.
Women who do hard things inspire me.
Sitting beside still water inspires me.
Reading God’s Word inspires me.
A freshly manicured yard inspires me, thank you hubster.
Pretty things inspire me.
A mama bird’s tenacity to hatch at least one brood after losing TEN eggs to a marauder.
A female Loggerhead who swims all the way from the waters off western Africa to return to the sand of her hatching to deposit 5-600 eggs in her lifetime.
My Nepali friends who go over rugged, rocky mountains ON FOOT to “Save the Daughters” from the ravaging life of human trafficking.
God-lovers who pick jiggers from feet and those who sew shoes to go on them.
My Chinese brothers and sisters who suffer persecution just to meet and worship the One, True, Eternal God.
My sister-in-Christ in Cuba who just ‘wanted to be free.’
My five minutes are up but I could go on and on and on – as I sit here and think of all the people and things that inspire me.
Wow and I’m focused on a migraine. Forgive me Lord
Hard to focus on anything with a migraine, Sestra. xo
And I have no doubt that your enthusiasm for life, for God and his calling on your life, inspire countless others. You’re not one for mere words, Susan, but a woman of action and that inspires me. Thank you!
Oh Debby, I pray so…YOU inspire me.
What inspires me each day. I believe is my daughter in love, Joanne. Each day is a struggled for her, but she gets up and she is now working 2 days a week. You never hear her complain she just keeps Praising our Lord. And our grandchildren, with the fibromyalgia, and this year summer has been the worst but they keep me up and going. Just to hear their voices, please nanny come play or just watch me do this. I don’t have time to feel sorry for myself , thank you Precious Lord, each day is a sweet gift from you.
Beautifully said, HM.
Love this list. I have some of your words in my journal that inspire me: “Take your everyday, ordinary life-your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, walking around life and place it before God as an offering.” That’s what your blog post is today, an offering of praise to God. Thank you for inspiring me.
Ah…that is The Message, isn’t it? Scripture address?
I LOVE this!
My daughter can do the same “to allow criticism and negativity to roll off her spirit and to choose joy in the hard places.” How does she do that????
And yes, it’s me 🙂 I’m in the #24 spot .
Hey me – I’m not sure! I brood for days. LOL
Awww, you’re so sweet to add me to your list! YOU inspire me with your faith and decorating skills!
I think this whole community inspires one another!!!
What a great list. You inspire me my friend. You are such and encouragement to myself and so many others. You inspire by the way you allow God to use your voice to pen words on blogs and books that will inspire others. You inspire through images you share and through glimpses of your life. Have a beautiful weekend!
O! wow Barbie. I could ask for nothing more! xo
I love that list! I’m with you… let’s not get bogged down by what is left still to do… instead let’s be inspired to keep moving forward and making a difference! Thanks for sharing!
Happy Friday to you! Stopping by from FMF
Rachel, THANK YOU! #inspired
These things and people inspire me too! And you inspire me! I’m in the 7 spot this week!
Tara, you inspire me with your no fretting over your future!!!
People inspire me. Especially, those who have overcome great adversity and heartache. Those who rose above their circumstance and became successful, joyful, caring and loving individuals; inspite of all who were expecting and encouraging them to fail.
They are the most inspirational!
Love your list, Susan! My grandchildren would be on my list for sure as would mountains, grand music, well-turned words by writers that capture something so well I can see, taste, feel, and smell it would as well. The list for me would be long indeed! Blessings on your weekend!
THANK YOU FOR COMING OVER FRIEND!!!!
“Women who do hard things inspire me.”
Absolutely. When we get to Heaven, I want to hear the stories of the great men of faith, of course, but I long to sit with the women, so many of whom have been hidden in the shadows, and learn about their obedience. Rahab, who defied her culture and her history. Mary, who bravely submitted. In this life, I long to be like them.
I probably relate more with Rahab BUT, like Mary I sure am enjoying sitting at His feet and being still!!!!!
Susan, I am honoured beyond words to be included in the company of these, your inspirations.
You, my friend, are right up there at the top!
Wow. What a great way to honor and lift up those around you!
Stephanie, they lift me up!!!
Love the List. I am inspired by you and your list. I love you my friend. Blessings Diana
Love you too friend – love following your retirement life!!!
I see a lot of things that inspire me. My faith in God and his words have inspired me all the time. Apart from this, my list would include my parents, teacher, and all the good people I meet.
A good list, Liz!
Susan, you are an inspiration to so many, myself included. I’m so glad our paths crossed and we’ve been able to meet in person more than once. Your love for God shows and it lights sparks everywhere you go that turn into flames pointing others to our wonderful Lord.
Blessings to you! Love and hugs! xo
You are such a good and trusted friend, Gayl!
I love this, especially the mention of trafficking prevention since today is World Day Against Trafficking.
Saving the Daughters is close to my heart, Paula.
That, right there, is a lovely list! xoxo
