My well continues to be dry but I offer my all-time favorite joke!
Ready?
Here goes
Tommy runs in from playing, “Mom, Mom where am I from?”
Mom thinks oh boy here we go – birds and bees on a play day. She sits Tommy down and explains everything to him. Exactly where he came from.
Tommy, in astonishment, looks at his mom like she’s an alien and says, “Wow! Billy ain’t got nothin’ on me he’s from New Jersey!”
From
Where are you from? Where am I from?
Those questions don’t really matter – what matters is…
Where are we going?
Just thinking…. Yes, the “where am I going” is an important question. But perhaps having a correct view of my origin (from) might make a difference in choosing my “to”. If I think I came from evolution, then I could come up with the wrong destination. I know you know that, so I’m not trying to refute what you said. I’m only sharing another perspective. 🙂
Yes….my “from” didn’t quite go so far back!!!!! Thanks, Wayne, your perspective is always welcome here.
This is good, Susan! Sometimes, I think about where I’m from, and there are times I’d like to go back, but then I think about Lot’s wife, and I sure don’t want to be like her! Always looking forward to what’s next, and thankful that my Father is leading me along as He sees fit. Love you, and hope you’ll continue to feel stronger!
Glenda, I ♥ your attitude.
Don’t know where I’m going,
don’t know where I’m from,
and alI that I be knowing,
mon, is that I need more rum.
Don’t know what be up ahead,
don’t care what’s behind;
seems today I am not dead
and that is really fine.
God maybe waits up for me,
or has just left a note:
“You’ve got Mansion 33,
and I’m lending you My boat;
get out there and catch some bass,
and I’ll join you in fishy repast.”
Crazy man…………..
Insanity is hereditary. You get it from your children.
I’m thrice struck.
Third time’s the charm.
I liked your joke, it brought a smile to my face 🙂 Your question is thought-provoking and one to ask ourselves on a regular basis to make sure we’re still on track (more importantly, on the right track). Thanks for your post
Too funny!
Where am I going is a much more important question.

I love all the comments. This came to me while reading the comments. I remember as a young girl I sat in my bed one evening praying. Don’t remember how old I was but the thought came to me “why am I here” . That’s all I remember. “why am I here” “where am I from” “where am I going” What a journey it has been.
I’m so glad our family has played a small part in your journey, Carol!
I consider it an important part then and now.
