Five Minute Friday Kate said…
Does Kate mean…
Excuse me please, or…
I am making an excuse to not do such and such?
Words with two meanings – interesting to see how writers interpret. Here is my offering:
About six weeks ago something wasn’t quite right with me and I made an excuse to not treadmill that day or the next 45…
I knew better than to allow that excuse become habit. Now it’s hard to get back on the Beast (non-electric treadmill).
I need to excuse myself and offer myself a bit of grace in this area rather than feeling guilty every time I look at the contraption in the kids’ room.
Myself, please excuse me for not walking on the dreaded treadmill. Do you accept my excuse?
Grace…I’m giving myself grace – grace is NOT an excuse but this time it will excuse me.
What’s your take on EXCUSE? Verb or noun?
