Joining the five minute friday “crowd” and Lisa-Jo Baker, for five minutes unedited writing. It’s not as easy as one might think! Today’s prompt: CROWD
Three, two, one, go.
Right off the bat, I’m adding an “s” to the word: crowds. I’m either extremely comfortable or uncomfortable in them. If it’s a familiar crowd of people I find myself decorating the wall and holding back. My eyes scan the familiar faces and I find that one, or maybe two, that I feel some kindred to and like a magnet I am drawn to them. Ah…comfort and the wallflower is off and running, her mouth, that is. Put me in an unfamiliar sea of faces and I’ll just find a corner and observe – like a hawk. I like to observe and conjure up stories in my mind. She is this. He is doing that. I bet she is a doctor or he’s a stay at home dad. The faces, the clothes, the postures tell stories. I then wonder if someone is in an opposite corner creating my story! She is this or that. Or, maybe not. We all have a story and sometimes it’s fun to pretend and put yourself in someone else’s pages – crowds of pages….
