Have you ever been in a room with 30 people and felt totally invisible? Yup, that happened to me last night at the Five Minute Friday Twitter Party! This morning I had a notice from the host, Kate Motaung, saying “she saw me” yet, there was no feedback to my posts, etc. Computers mess up sometimes and rather than getting paranoid I’m going to chalk it up to a glitch! About 9:45 p.m. Kate said…

Good word to begin a new year.
I’m really hung up on my oneword2017: SUFFICIENT.
Because you see, when that fear thing popped up in me early December and Holy Spirit whispered Matthew 6.34 in my ear, sufficient for this day is the trouble in it.
Don’t postpone the joy just because of one bit of bad news.
You see that was the crux of it. There will always be bad news.
There will always be trouble.
There will always be a bad day or week.
There will always…..
But what I was missing – and maybe you are too…
There is a CONNECTION between that “sufficient for the day trouble” and the “ALL-SUFFICIENT grace” that our good, good Father gives us.
If sufficient is the trouble…then sufficient is His grace to carry me through it.
DO YOU SEE THE CONNECTion?

Yep, I often feel like the invisible person. It used to really hurt my heart but I am learning that the issue isn’t mine, its theirs.
Sufficient – that is a big word. Good post!
I really think it was a technical issue!!!
I feel like the invisible person too. In fact although I am joining in Five Minute Friday, I was frankly afraid to join in the Twitter party because I am new and know no one. I only did FMF a bit and that was ages ago.
I love your word Sufficient. I think it is a beautiful way to seize the day
Kelly, I think the issue last night was technical but please look for me, @Hopeful50 on Twitter.
Yet another invisible person here. What I have figured out for myself is that I’m probably not as invisible as I think to other people. They’re just busy with their own stuff as I so often am when I lose my CONNECTion to the people about whom I care.
Most importantly, I am never ever invisible to Jesus and through Him the CONNECTion to my Father and SpiritMan is always solid.
Beautiful post, Sus!
Shelby, I’m concerned about YOU.
That stinks that you weren’t able to be seen at the party. But I’m glad you said something. I totally get the missing link between feeling troubles and grace. That line was the best.
YOU saw me Christina!!!
SUFFICIENT is a beautiful word to be connected to. Especially when we are connected to the Source of our sufficiency!
Amen.
I love how you tied the two words together. You’re right…there will always be a bad day, week, month etc. I saw you too. But am sorry we couldn’t see your replies etc. you are not invisible. You are loved! 🙂
(((xo)))
So, so very thankful for OUR connection!
Man, me too!!!!!!!!! When are you coming back?
I love the connection you made that if the trouble is sufficient the grace is sufficient. And that’s a great word for the year!
Holy Spirit woke me up to tell me that, last week!!!
I saw you Susan, lol!!!
This is great: “If sufficient is the trouble…then sufficient is His grace to carry me through it.” His grace IS enough.
Hope to chat with you at the next fmf party 🙂
I believe the glitch was on my Kindle connection. His grace is more than enough!
If I can be honest, I’ve always felt invisible there. So much going on. Hardly ever noticed. So I never came back to the party, just writing. I need to put on my big girl pants now and maybe try again.
YES, you must. Surely, you must.
Huh. Sufficient and all-sufficient. I like it!
HE IS.
Susan, I love your take on the word connect! And I saw you last night and tried to respond to some of your tweets. 🙂 There must have been a glitch because it has happened to me before, too.
Yes, our God is sufficient for anything we face. Many blessings to you, dear Susan! xoxo
Thank you for seeing me!!!!!
I like the way you connected the two verses.
I have never been to the party not even before it moved to Kate’s place because of the overwhelming feeling you spoke about it plus I am usually sleep.
LaTonya, I am an early bird too! But IF you come to the party? Look for me @Hopeful50 is my Twitter name. I’ll talk to you!
Love it!
Love you!
XO
So glad we connected!
Tell me about the twitter party. I often feel invisible. Love you Susan.
Diana, you must come to a Twitter Party. http://www.katemotaung.com/five-minute-friday
Great post and “connecting ” the two words…I love when that works. And it did! I love connecting with others, and though I have been lacking in reading others’ blogs lately, I have been connecting through my crafting! It is just another way I am connecting!
Thank you for sharing your words. I do plan to follow!!
