Kate said confident.
Something I say to my adult grandchild,
Be confident in your decisions; own your mistakes.
I believe “real” confidence – not the boastful, braggadocious kind comes with maturity. And, I believe maturity can be in a 25-year old or the obvious, older person; however, confidence can be developed.
I know because I had to develop my own.
When first husband told me he wanted to leave me and our three kids, my self-confidence and self-esteem TANKED. I mean, sweep it up off the floor and try to rebuild those two things.
IT WAS HARD.
But over the years I did. I would make decisions even if they weren’t the best ones, I made them. I learned to own those that weren’t the best, forgive myself and move on.
Those were years I was not walking faithfully with God – He was in me as Savior but not as my Leader.
Like throwing “lots.”
Remember? In the Bible decisions were made by throwing lots – whoever it landed on, got the job. THEN…Holy Spirit came and the dice were thrown away – because now they could pray and be led by Him.
Talk about being confident!
There is so much to be said here, but alas, five minutes is up!
Where is your confidence?
