Kate said compromise
Compromise can be the key to marital bliss! Or, it can be the selling of your soul.
Let me explain.
In 1985-6 my husband and I decided we were going to move to the panhandle of Idaho – we bought 25 acres of raw land – it was perfect. He began building a house and even built the foundation of said house! At the time we were living in South Florida and the more I thought about moving so far away the more hesitant I became. I had three kids: 15 – 13 – 5.
I knew my two oldest kids would never go with us and they would probably stay behind with their Dad. The little one would go with me. I began thinking about that and I couldn’t do it. Much to the chagrin of my husband. So, we compromised.
Best decision of our life – we moved to the mountains of northwestern North Carolina where we lived for 30 years.
The compromising of conviction – so.not.good. I have been taught since early childhood to have the courage of my convictions and we had strong ones.
If you believe it to be true and you know that you know it is truth – DO NOT COMPROMISE.
Is an area I will not compromise – not one iota!
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. … We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
