I quietly went to the party and literally said not one word. I read tweets. I lurked. And, then Kate Motaung said,

34 years ago hubs and I met. It was an unusual meeting – my friend wanted me to meet her hairdresser and I resisted. Well, turns out I was at her house and he called and said I’m close to where you live I think – she said, “Okay where are you and we will come up and show you to the house.” We did. We went to the parking lot where he said he would be and we couldn’t find him – then this helmeted guy on a motorcycle starts waving us over – beige corduroy jeans, an olive green sweatshirt, and biker boots.
WHAT?
Let’s act like we don’t see him, I said, look at him…we have nothing in COMMON…com’on, let’s just leave.
She wouldn’t hear of it.
She flagged him over to our car.
He followed us to her villa.
We spent the next 2 hours listening to him tell jokes – how could one man know so many jokes?
Oh yeah, he was a hairdresser – a biker hairdresser.
Absolutely NOTHING in COMMON –
Except, he could make me laugh.
And, he’s kept me laughing for 34 years.
But, we have nothing in common.
Wink. Wink.Wink.

Happy Anniversary! I always knew you had an inner rebel. 😀 So glad that you didn’t think you had anything in common and yet that made things so interesting and fascinating!

Laughter is not only the best medicine. It’s a pretty good stand-in for Krazy Glue. Or so The B says.
I believe The B is absolutely correct!
