The Five Minute Friday tribe is holding a retreat this weekend somewhere in Kansas City – Kate and her planning committee have worked hard and I do hope they all have an awesome time. They are collecting good memories. Today, we write on…
I live with a collector. He collects a lot of stuff. I make him manage it well because I will not live with chaotic collecting. But, then, he has a workshop – 1,000 square feet of workshop. Need I say more?
I used to collect pretty things: old beanpots, teapots, birthday angels when my daughter was small, books, shells, seaglass, rocks, driftwood and many other things. I was not a hoarder – they were treasures and I displayed them in attractive ways. I’ve given most things away. Some to friends, some to charitable organizations, books to the church library, etc.
Now? I collect memories and moments. I collect thoughts and write about them. I collect friends and treasure them.
What do you collect?
