It’s Five Minute Friday and that means the big challenge of unedited, straight-forward, off-the-cuff writing on a one word topic. Today’s prompt? CHOOSE
Go.
When I saw the word this morning I got almost giddy because it is a word I use all the time. Choose. Choice. Decide. I continually tell my grandchildren that their tomorrow is shaped by their choices TODAY. Oh, if I can just get that one principle formed in their minds and spirits I believe they will be so much better for it. My life has been a series of bad choices until about 25 years ago when finally information became revelation and I realized how incredibly important the right choices are. Choices are as simple as, do I overload myself with sugar today or is the man I marry the right one. Think about it. The sugar will make my blood levels go whacky and I’ll feel like crap the rest of the day. Seems like a no-brainer, don’t eat the sugar (and it is a choice I usually make). But what about a husband? I made the wrong choice almost 47 years ago and it turned out badly. Hurt and left alone with three kids. Choices are crucial and seeking Godly counsel is essential when making them. Choose you this day……….Joshua 24.15
Stop.
Thank you for dropping by, Mary.
