Kate said, “BURDEN.”
And I would venture every single faith blogger used Jesus’ words, “My yoke is easy and my BURDEN is light.”
Perfect scripture for this word prompt.
Perfect scripture for living in today’s world.
For the day to day.
For doing the next thing.
Because in case you haven’t noticed? Life is BURDENsom, y’all. And, that statement has NOTHING to do with politics or economics. Life is filled with burdens. I don’t care who you are. Where you are. What you are.
There are BURDENS.
We are on a phenomenal road trip. We have seen sights we have never seen. We have felt carefree and light. And, then the text came. An altercation.
A BURDEN to take to the throne of my Burden-bearer.
THE FATHER.
JESUS, the BURDEN-bearer.
HOLY SPIRIT, the one who can comfort the BURDENed.
Our family situation has changed…again. Fear wants to seep in but I cannot, I will not, I refuse to allow it. My BURDEN has been laid at the feet of my BURDEN-bearer, the One whose yoke is easy — and y’all? I’d rather be yoked to HIM than any one or anything else. No politician can help with soul work.
Only the BURDEN-bearer. His name is Jesus.
DO YOU KNOW HIM?
Yes, I have been carrying the burden of this election but I have no business doing that! GAKAT! Recounting the votes here in my state has nothing to do with me. I voted, I prayed, I asked my Burdenbearer to do what He does best. I believe He is faithful and is doing just that!
Amen. GAKAT!
Absolutely – NO politician! or anyone else can give the comfort and grace that Jesus gives. Thank you for your continual words of faith.
Deb I have strong political opinions but my burdens go to Jesus and my hope comes from Him!!!!
Amen! Taking those burdens to His feet today, for you and for all those I love!! Only He can carry us, and our burdens.
I’ll pray for you
You pray for me
Oh how happy our Lord will be!
Yes, I used the verse! It’s not original, but I think it’s a reminder we all need!
It’s one I needed today!
So much this: ” I’d rather be yoked to HIM than anyone or anything else.”
Praying for you and your family, sweet friend!
Thank you Ms K. Prayers for your eyes. XO
Praying for you and your family! And are you a betting woman because almost every post I’ve read so far used that Matthew text.
