Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7.25
Every time I come across this scripture in my copy of DAILY LIGHT I highlight it and say out loud, “YES, LORD!”
I have several people I want to see come to a real “knowing” of Jesus. I want them to know Him to the very uttermost, just like I do.
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. Psalm 139.9-10
Psalm 139 is referred to as “God’s Perfect Knowledge of Man,” and it is in this chapter our friend and brother David is writing to his heavenly Father declaring, If I fly away on the wings of morning and go live in the uttermost depths of the sea – You O God are with me.
No matter where I go even to the destination of Uttermost, my Sovereign God goes with me.
For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, just as they did from the Judeans, who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God and are contrary to all men, forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost. 1 Thessalonians 2.14-16
Wrath to the uttermost. UGHly. I am so very grateful because I have been saved to the uttermost, and God is with me to the uttermost; therefore I have been saved [Romans 5.9] from wrath to the uttermost.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8.38-39
