Written in October 2008, but relevant today, we close our series “Dark:Thirty” with part four…
Treasures of Darkness!
The good news:
I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, Who calls you by your name, Am the God of Israel. Isaiah 45.3 (NKJV)
For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4.6 (NKJV)
I know what you’re probably thinking, Treasures of Darkness?
How can anything good come out of this dark place I find myself in?
O! Please allow me to encourage you today – it is more than possible – it is actually PROBABLE!
My season of darkness lasted five plus years but when it ended? It ended in such victory that it set my feet a-dancing and put a new song in my heart!
So, were the five years worth it? Looking back…absolutely they were. I learned so much during those years.
Holding On Praying Effectively. See the acronym in there? H.O.P.E. #hopechangeseverything
The Lord gave me His gift of HOPE and I hung on for dear life. It was one roller coaster ride and most of the time it was a solo trip – people don’t enjoy spending time with you in the dark!
But, HE IS THERE. Look hard and you will see Him!
