Five Minute Friday – Purpose

September 17, 2021 by admin 16 Comments

Kate said purpose. What is my purpose? What is yours? To explain my answer I must qualify the position from which I write. I am a believer in, and a follower of, Jesus Christ. My Purpose My purpose is to be known by Him and to make Him known. The second part of that is… [Read More]

Hold The Salt!

September 14, 2021 by admin 24 Comments

Hold The Salt! As most of my readers know I was tagged with another title three weeks ago. Heart patient! I went to the hospital on August 21 and on August 22 I was told I had congestive heart failure. Shocked? Yes, I was. My hospital stay involved several firsts! A CATscan. An Echocardiogram. An… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday – Rescue

September 10, 2021 by admin 10 Comments

Kate said rescue. I love the word RESCUE. And, I venture to say it is because I was gloriously rescued a long time ago. The entire Bible has a theme of rescue. One can go back through the Old Testament stories of rescue. Adam and Eve. Noah. Moses. Abraham. Joseph. Rahab. Esther. Ruth. Etcetera. New… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday – City

September 3, 2021 by admin 22 Comments

Kate said city. She not only said the word city but she visited the city of Chicago last week with her sister! I’ve driven through Chicago but never walked the city’s sidewalks. This past week we were in Greenville, SC, for a doctor’s appointment and afterward we drove a long length of downtown Greenville, over… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday: Desperate

August 27, 2021 by admin 23 Comments

Kate said desperate. Ever been? Yeah, me too. The Challenge When I feel desperate the one and only thing that brings me peace is a good, come to Jesus moment. I cry out to Him and bear my soul, my fears, my insecurities, and anything else negative clinging to my inner soul. I cannot live… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday: Teach

August 27, 2021 by admin 1 Comment

Kate said teach. Friday, August 20th, 2021. As I always do on Friday mornings I checked in on Five Minute Friday and the word prompt of the week. As it turned out TEACH was more appropriate than I gave it credit. I felt horrible. I could hardly breathe and my body was swollen like a… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday: Accountability

August 13, 2021 by admin 9 Comments

Kate said accountability. Accountability is a vital practice to have in place. I’d like to tell you about my accountability partner – One I’ve had since 1992. My Accountability Partner Some of you will roll your eyes. Or, make a smirk with your lips. Perhaps, shake your heads and say she’s crazy! But, if you are… [Read More]

I finally wrote something today. I'm not one to ju I finally wrote something today. I'm not one to just write words for the sake of writing. They have to have meaning, purpose. These were inspired by my June discipline of reading 5 psalms a day. Way back at chapter 37 David penned some pretty profound do's and don't's. They have been simmering for a couple of weeks. They're ready now. Hopehearthome dot com.
