Five Minute Friday – Hide

November 19, 2021 by admin 10 Comments

Hide and Seek You can run but you can’t hide! Those are the two thoughts which immediately popped into my mind when I saw the word prompt this morning. I spent a portion of my life hiding from the Lord because I was hell-bent on sinful living. I was a young, hurt Mom to three… [Read More]

Bearing Good Fruit

November 16, 2021 by admin 10 Comments

Taking Inventory These past six months cause me to stop and ponder how well I’m doing in the knowledge and fruit-bearing departments! You see, I try to be guided by my life mission scripture: That I may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday – Wander

November 12, 2021 by admin 10 Comments

Kate said wander All who wander are not lost! We have that on a coffee mug in the cupboard of our travel trailer, Gracee. And, oh how we have wandered over the years! Yesterday, hubs and I celebrated 39 years of togetherness. We have some wandering miles behind us.  Our number one love language is… [Read More]

Grow Up!

November 9, 2021 by admin 10 Comments

It Is Seriously Time! To grow up. This message is for anyone and everyone who has walked this faith walk for a while. How grown up are we? Do we still get shocked when “things” happen? Do we easily disappoint? Do we lose hope at the slightest of bad news? Grow Up! In his letter… [Read More]

Five Minute Friday – Prayer

November 5, 2021 by admin 16 Comments

Kate said prayer I learned a very long time ago that God made me exactly the way I am. Ants in pants, and all! So, to sit for hours and pray and/or intercede on behalf of someone/something is not easy for me. BUT, I pray all day long. There are nights, I pray all night… [Read More]

It’s That Time of Year Again!

October 26, 2021 by admin 12 Comments

Word of The Year Normally, this time of year I begin to listen for that whisper telling me what word I should meditate on in the coming new year. I haven’t quite gotten my 2022 marching orders yet – but I do know how last year’s word has been a soothing balm during these precarious… [Read More]

kings of Persia But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. Vision Every gardener, every writer, has a vision. Vision
Every gardener, every writer, has a vision. In gardening we envision fresh salads, delicious el dante French green beans, and juicy tomato sandwiches. 🍅 As a writer my vision is legacy. My story is one of peaks and valleys, potholes and narrow paths. There are chapters of shame and there are chapters of victory. God has used every single jot and tittle for my good and His glory. See that stack of books on the shelf? That's VISION. That's LEGACY.

Commitment Gardening takes commitment.. if you're Commitment
Gardening takes commitment.. if you're not in it to win it there's no sense in starting. Writing takes the same commitment. Currently, I have a partially completed work in progress. It's called "my brother is a saint." Right now I'm in a season of 'dry' but I'm still committed. See the first picture? It is a photo of Civil War dated garlic. 32 years ago hubs dug up 5 cloves in a field in Harpersville Alabama known for its Civil War / slavery roots. He carefully propagated it and has shared bulbs with many gardeners. That is commitment. My work in progress will get completed - I am committed.

Routine Writing, like gardening, requires routine. Routine
Writing, like gardening, requires routine. Every morning Farmer Hubster walks around the garden pruning, dead-heading, tying, and all the things it takes to have an abundant harvest. Writing requires time spent in reading, research, and WRITING. A popular author once said, "if you want to be a writer then you must write something every day." I attempt to do that. I like the routine of writing ✍️. #hopewriterlife
