Reader Warning! This only looks long because of the pictures – I am a writer of few words!
This past Saturday was a rainy, dreary day – a perfect day to gather with about 35 hungry-for-The-Word, like-minded women; any day is a good day to do this but, this one seemed custom-made for us! We gathered in our friend’s home church assembly room. There was danish, fruit, hot tea, hot coffee, name labels, comfortably padded chairs, notepads and big tv on the wall! The Beth Moore simulcast was about to begin! Everything about that day was perfect – our host’s hubs and some other handy men cooked us an awesome hot lunch AND cleaned it all up. How amazing is that? Just as we began to leave around five o’clock, the sun began peeking through the clouds. Like I said, a day custom-made for God’s daughters.
Since Saturday, several friends have asked, “What did she speak on?” Today, I will give you glimpses and tasty tid-bits, mixed with photos I’ve been taken with a fun app called “magic” on my camera (aren’t the colors vibrant and beautiful?)…here we go.
A U D A C I T Y
Beth opened in true Beth-style, having a bad hair day! She makes me laugh, she is so dang real! Quickly she gets into The Word, reading about Esau and Jacob’s birth and Esau selling his birthright to twin brother Jacob, all for a bowl of STEW. Esau underrated his birthright, he considered it of little worth.
What’s my stew? Exhaustion keeps us in a stew and the stew is a distraction.
Romans 8.15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
Do I stand in FULL DAUGHTERSHIP?
We live in a day of AUDACITY and AUDACITY is our legacy! Jesus Christ has the Authority so we can have the AUDACITY! FEAR is going viral AND WE MUST NOT GO WITH IT! Courage | Love | Boldness must be our badge. References: Acts 2.17; Acts 4.13; 2 Timothy 3.1
Practice being audacious; having intrepid boldness; having resolute fearlessness; with a bold disregard of normal restraints.
DO IT AFRAID! (my words)
Have GUTS & Give GLORY = AUDACITY!
Wake Up Sleepers!
We are called to be mighty women of God. (she had us repeat that 3-4 times!)
6 MIGHTY MAKERS
1. The Audacity to make an unseen Savior the supreme romance of my life. Psalm 63
2. The Audacity to live in the tension that comes with LOVING IN TRUTH. 2nd John
3. The Audacity to pray for astonishing works of the Holy Spirit. Acts 4.29-31
4. The Audacity to forgive and live forgiven. Matthew 6.14
5. The Audacity to hold tight, with all my might, to Romans 8.18
6. The Audacity to walk in humility with 0% confidence in my flesh and 100% confidence in God. Philippians 2
Live Holy and Harrowing Lives!
Throw away the diapers and the pull-up’s!
I have a “thing” when attending a conference – I require a “take-away” – an anchor point, a stone of remembrance! This simulcast was no exception. The take-away for me was probably different than for others because I have been seeking confirmation to something and I got it! It’s found in the number two “Mighty Maker” – “the audacity to
live write in the tension that comes with loving blogging in truth.”
Thank you Bible Gateway for your informative and resourceful website! All scriptures are linked to the ESV translation because that is what Beth Moore used in her simulcast.
