I was a bit more social last night at the five minute friday party – I didn’t lurk. Lurking is kind of creepy and the crowd was engaging. There was talk about fires, travel, family – it’s always good to hear that someone who had been not well is feeling better and it’s always good to see people after a long absence. The group is different each week – if you are one of those “there” but not saying anything – I know who you are – just muster up some courage and next time show your face! Kate, the host, said…
I work for a company whose website has the word enjoy in it – enjoy is part of my email address – unfortunately that very word throws a lot of my emails into people’s spam. Sad, isn’t it? That the great Internet dictionary considers the word enjoy suspect. Enjoy is anything but suspicious – enjoy is life itself.
I am not going to overthink the word and I’m not going to go super spiritual I am going to list the things that I enjoy. Ready?
- pontoon boats
- children playing
- babies to look at (I’m not a little baby person)
- housey magazines
- food and cooking
- a good movie
- a good tv series
- binging Netflix or similar
- making books
- a really good praise and worship session
- Sonday afternoons
- road trips
- snail mail
- disposable income
- did I say laughing?
I especially enjoy watching others enjoy life. Brings me joy.
Making printables brings me joy too.
I enjoy a lot of things.
Hope you do as well.
What are three things YOU enjoy?
I wanted everyone to be able to have a chance to read The 31 Days of Christmas – the full color book was a little pricey on Amazon so I made a black and white version and it’s available now. It is a wonderful Advent Devotional for grown-ups! Let the little’s have their felt stockings and cut outs and calendar but YOU? Go between the lines of The Word for some (maybe) new insights about the life and times of our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ. The pages have a lot of whitespace and if you are one of those who like to do journal art and doodles? Get your colored pencils and have a ball! If you click on the image below it will take you to Amazon and this book is $9.99 – a little gift for yourself this holiday season! Go ahead, indulge a little!
